Congress Hall served as the seat of the United States Congress from 1790 to 1800. During this time, the country admitted three new states, ratified the Bill of Rights, oversaw the presidential inaugurations of George Washington and John Adams. Congress Hall was restored to its original appearance. The building is managed by the National Park Service and is open for public tours.
