Elfreth's Alley

Elfreth's Alley

Elfreth's Alley is our nation's oldest residential street, dating back to 1702. There are 32 Federal- and Georgian-style houses on the street, which were built between 1728 and 1836. The Elfreth's Alley Museum is located on the alley, and there is a small fee to enter. The alley was dedicated as a National Historic Landmark in 1966.
