Heidnik's House of Horrors

Heidnik's House of Horrors

One of the most shocking real-life horror stories of the 20th century occurred at the location. In the house that used to stand here, in the mid 1980s, Gary Heidnik held six women captive, killing two of them. He employed horrific and cruel methods of torture against them and inspired the Buffalo Bill serial killer character in the movie Silence of the Lambs. Today the site is an empty lot.
